Min Li
Min started her yoga journey in 2015 at Heart Space (which she said was her life changing point), three years after she moved to Dundee, when she was experiencing big life changes, which were overwhelming.
With Min continuing to learn from the experienced teachers and practicing yoga (Forrest, Flow, Yin, Aerial and etc.) almost on daily basis since then, she found yoga a great way of developing her strength, flexibility and confidence. Meantime she also found yoga helped restore her emotional balance and has been guiding her to connect her authentic self.
Min completed her 200-hour Teacher Training with Finlay Wilson and 50-hour Yin Yoga & Myofasical Release Teacher Training in 2019 at Heart Space.

Evy Koutzas
Originally from Chicago, Evy moved to Dundee December 2016. Evy’s yoga journey began in graduate school as she sought to release stress from work and studies, as well as incorporate fitness into her lifestyle. Her interest in yoga emerged slowly at first; however, upon experiencing heated vinyasa, she eagerly created a consistent practice, finding unexpected and powerful mindfulness connections on her mat that were far beyond her initial fitness hopes.
As a teacher Evy strives to provide an inclusive environment where her students feel challenged yet supported - empowered through a practice that is strengthening and meditative. Sometimes flowing to music, and other times to the simple sounds of breath, each class will connect breath to movement, explore strength, and cultivate self-acceptance.

Maureen Meade
I am from Canada and have had the privilege of living all over the world before recently finding my home in Dundee
I have been a teacher in various capacities throughout my life, from instructing skiing in the Canadian mountains, to teaching sat a primary school in Ghana and now teaching yoga wherever I can. I started practicing over 20 years ago, and was hooked immediately. I love the way this practice brings peace and balance to so many areas of my life - as an outdoor adventure enthusiast, as a partner, and as a mother. I am motivated by the physical challenge and and mental shift that yoga creates, and the community that grows as a result. I also love being upside-down as much as possible!
I practiced and trained in Ashtanga and Vinyasa with Karen Kirkness and later went on to be qualified in her Avid Yogi YTT 200 hrs. I then lived and taught yoga in Edinburgh at Meadowlark from 2013 until my recent move to Dundee.

Jacqui McIntosh
A little bit about me and why I love Pilates so much!
I originally trained as an actor many years ago which included terms of dance throughout my training. I was also a keen gymnast when I was a child.
With my love of dance, fitness and being creative, Pilates was very much a natural transition for me and my body and mind. Around nine years ago I retrained in Edinburgh to become a Pilates Mat teacher and have never looked back!
Pilates incorporates a number of fantastic principles, including strengthening your core, building your stamina whilst reducing risk of injury. As well as being graceful and rhythmic, practising Pilates makes you more aware of your body, posture and spine, it can be gentle but challenging meaning it can appeal to anyone at any age.
As Joseph Pilates said…”if at the age of 30 you are stiff you are old. If at 60 you are supple then you are young”!

Laura Wighton
Laura is a Forrest Yoga Teacher, Aerial Yoga Teacher and Bodyworker.
Laura’s first ever yoga practice was at Heart Space in March 2016 and she immediately fell in love with how breath and movement made her feel. Using her practice to understand her body and why it did what it did when it did, physically and emotionally, Laura found herself on a profound transformational journey which one day led her to say ‘This is it, this is what I want to do, I want to help at least one person with yoga the way yoga has helped me’. Laura completed Forrest Yoga Foundation Training in September 2017, Advanced Forrest Yoga Teacher Training in August 2018 and is currently participating in Forrest Yoga Mentorship under Forrest Yoga Guardians Jambo Truong and Brian Campbell.
Having been introduced to Aerial Yoga by Finlay Wilson, and after somewhat getting over the excitement of being upside down alot, Laura noticed a real shift in her strength and her confidence with weekly aerial practices and wanted more. In April 2017, she completed her Aerial Hammock Training CET.
Laura delivers Bodywork sessions alongside her teaching schedule at Heart Space. Through the mind blowing assists she received in her yoga practice, Laura developed a passion for touch as a healing tool, not only to address long term tension or compensation patterns, but as a way to address the often times underlying emotional drivers.

Andi loves promoting mind-body connection through her teaching practice, inviting clients to listen to the cues their body gives. Lali Tudela
For Lali, Yoga means a unique combination of mindful movement and conscious breathing that can open the door to self-discovery and transformation. Lali's first experience with Yoga was in her twenties, when she was encouraged to join a Hatha Yoga class in her neighbourhood. She was hooked, and curiosity led her to dive into other styles, including Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow, Power and Yin Yoga. In Yoga, Lali found a meaningful physical practice that helped her find a steadier mind, and develop a sense of presence and focus.
It was more recently, with the practice and study of Forrest-inspired asanas, that the penny dropped. Yoga then began to be less about the shapes and more about the sensations and the inner dialogue that Yoga can uncover. Alignment and flow, ease and effort, discipline and playfulness are all ingredients that Lali enjoys integrating into her practice and her teaching.
Lali will meet you on the mat with openness and a smile, guiding you through those foundations that will enable you to explore the many benefits that Yoga has to offer, whichever they are for you and whatever they mean to you. Lali treasures the opportunity to inspire others to move in a safe and supportive space, grow stronger and reconnect with themselves.

Over the last five years, he has completed training in both Restorative Yoga and Sound Therapy.
Sarah Hill
I began yoga in 2014 to help manage anxiety & OCD. The effect was profound leading to a vast improvement in overall wellbeing, confidence & a passion for yoga.
I am fascinated by the way yoga creates strength, even through stillness & helps connect us to ourselves emotionally. Learning to move my body in combination with breath & feeling a change without necessarily looking for a physical change was empowering. I learnt to treat myself with compassion & respect instead of negativity & contempt.
I genuinely believe yoga has something to offer everyone, regardless of age, gender, fitness, body type or flexibility. Yoga is unique in adaptability & accessibility. As a teacher I hope to encourage people to find their own acceptance & strength in an environment that is safe & supportive through the practices of Forrest, Flow & Yin.
Are you a yoga teacher?
We are always looking to have more teachers on board at Heart Space. If you are a qualified (trained to a minimum 200hr YTT) we would love to hear from you.
Are you also skilled in teaching kids, younger years and family classes?
